Growth, developments and innovations
On February 1st, 2009 Kees Noorlander founded Orgelmakerij Noorlander. He started to build and assemble all organs himself but since more and more organists have heard about Hauptwerk technique, the demand for Noorlander organs has increased. After 12.5 years Orgelmakerij Noorlander has grown into a leading player in the organ market.
A specialized team of furniture makers, ICT specialists and technicians have now been working on the most beautiful organs. Since 2019, the furniture workshop, assembly department, test department, showroom and office have been located in Barneveld.
Various innovations have been released in recent years. Examples include the digital register displays, touch buttons (as a replacement for the traditional pull registers), the Noorlander energy manager and an audio correction tool that optimally adjusts organs to the user’s space upon delivery. In addition to developing new models, Orgelmakerij Noorlander is also working on a groundbreaking innovation that will be presented in the fall of 2021. The pre-launch of this innovation will take place during the anniversary on July 3rd in the Grote Kerk Dordrecht.
Churches also find their way to Orgelmakerij Noorlander. Including questions about Hybrid solutions. For this, Orgelmakerij Noorlander developed a temperature sensor that keeps the tuning of the digital voices the same as that of the pipes.
Introduction sample set Kam-organ Grote Kerk Dordrecht
An iconic instrument with a unique sound. For many organists, the Kam organ of the Grote Kerk Dordrecht is one of the most special organs in the Netherlands.
Orgelmakerij Noorlander has made recordings of the Kam organ. You can play the sample set of the Kam organ before the end of this year. A warm romantic sound that will bring back memories of organists and impressive concerts. An instrument that suits the music of Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and Johannes Brahms. But French-romantic repertoire and Dutch chorale art also sound excellent on the Kam organ. Be inspired by the wonderful sounds of this imposing organ.
Introduction sample set Bach organ Grote Kerk Dordrecht
On September 26th, 2007, Verschueren Orgelbouw (Heythuysen) completed a unique project. They made the Bach organ in the Grote Kerk Dordrecht. This instrument is an important enrichment of the Dutch organ collection and in particular of the Grote Kerk Dordrecht. A style copy of the work of the famous organ maker Gottfried Silbermann was never built before in the Netherlands. Moreover, from a stylistic point of view, the instrument is an important addition to the opus magnum of the organ makers Kam in the imposing ‘Dordtse Dom’.
Orgelmakerij Noorlander has also made recordings of this inspiring organ. This organ will also be made available as a sample set before the end of this year.
New model in Iconics line
On the occasion of our 12.5-year anniversary, Orgelmakerij Noorlander has designed a new model in the Iconics line. Playing this impressive organ makes you feel like a cathedral organist. The latest innovations have been incorporated into this new organ model. The organ also has a balanced speaker system of no less than 10 speakers. The model is characterized by refined details and optimal proportions. This creates a piece of furniture that entrances both the player and the listener (in the living room). The festive unveiling of this new model will take place during our anniversary day.
